Beware the frozen heart...

I am in love with Frozen.100% so. I've seen it in the theatre, and I knew I couldn't wait to see it again. However, going to the movies is really expensive and I really don't have the funds to go and see it four times. And, being the kind of person I am, I wasn't waiting for the DVD release.

So, I searched online for any available copies. Yes, I know its less than legal. So sue me.

I found this guy out in California who claimed to have and original copy of the movie from when he was on the development team. He seemed desperate to give it away, maybe he was afraid that he had it illegally? Who knows. He gave it to me for about ten bucks.

I got the DVD in the mail about a week later. It was in amazing condition. It almost looked like one of those collector's edition movies Disney always gives out. That night, while my parents were away, I popped in my new DVD and prepared to watch the best movie ever.

It was even better the second time through! The sadness of "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman", the power of "Let it Go", even Olaf's cutesy "In Summer" seemed fantastic! This original copy seemed better quality than anything in the theaters!

And then I prepared myself for the heart wrenching ending, Anna freezing solid to protect her sister from death, only to thaw back out. Only, she didn't. Logical assumption said "Hey, it's a director's cut. The scene's just extended to be more dramatic.

Elsa was draped over Anna for about 5 minutes in tears as the cast watched on. Then Anna... vanished. She dissolved to snow and scattered on the wind. An uproar rose from the crowd of onlookers as Hans recovered and pointed to Elsa.

"See? She is nothing but a wicked sorceress! She killed her own sister! She is not fit to be alive, let alone be queen!"

The crowd rushed out onto the frozen ocean after Elsa, who ran for her very life. Kristoff hopped onto Sven and vanished. Olaf...poor Olaf...was trampled to pieces by the angry mob. Then the screen went black.

I felt my heart pounding. What was that?! That's not how it goes! I was tempted to turn it off, but my curiosity caused me to continue watching.

The next scenes showed Elsa alone in the room of some inn, shivering in pure fear. Slow, loud footsteps coming down the hall answered why. Elsa quickly stuck her head out the door, gasped in fear, and slammed it shut behind her as the footsteps drew closer. The door locked, and the figure of a child appeared on the screen.

Anna.

Anna, the way she was as a child appeared on the screen. Her dress was torn, disheveled, and covered in frost. Her extremities (ears, fingers, etc,) were a sickly blue green from frostbite. Frost covered the rest of her body, even her hair which was chipped and broken. Her eyes were black, with two small yellow pupils. Black tears streamed down her face, yet she smiled.

"Elsa?" she said in a voice such sounded like the voice of a ghoul or demon. It sent chills down my spine to hear it. "Elsa? Elsa, it's cold"

That line. THAT freaking line caused tears to fall down my face. Disney was scaring me worse than any horror movie. The worst mistake Elsa had ever made was coming back to haunt her in a horrible way.

Anna walked to Elsa's door. "Come play Elsa!". She knocked and the song began. Anna began singing with that horrible voice. The song was the same as before, but the background music had changed, making it sound sinister, evil. And it was horrible.

DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN?
COME ON LETS GO AND PLAY
I NEVER SEE YOU ANYMORE
COME OUT THE DOOR
ITS LIKE YOU'VE GONE AWAY
WE USED TO BE BEST BUDDIES
AND NOW WE'RE NOT
I WISH YOU WOULD TELL ME WHY
DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN? IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A SNOWMAN

Elsa screamed from behind the door , "ANNA PLEASE! PLEASE GO AWAY!"

OKAY BYE....

The music continued as Anna left and Elsa fled the inn, running through the still frozen countryside and stopping at a new inn. She found a room and immediately locked the door.

Anna returned that night, right on her musical cue, surrounded by fog.

DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN?
OR RIDE OUR BIKE AROUND THE HALLS?
I THINK SOME COMPANY IS OVERDUE
I'VE STARTED TALKING TO
THE PICTURES ON THE WALLS

Many voices whispering "Hang in there, Joan" could be heard echoing through the inn.

IT GETS A LITTLE LONELY
ALL THESE EMPTY ROOMS
JUST WATCHING THE HOURS TICK BY

TIC TOC TIC TOC TIC TOC

As Anna vanished once more, Elsa fled. As the music continued in the background, Elsa ran through the wilderness while being trailed by an eerie fog. She knew she couldn't escape, but she had to try.  She finally found an old cottage in the woods. She ran in just as night fell again and the footsteps could be heard, crunching in the snow.

There was a knocking bang on the door.

"Elsa?"

PLEASE, I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE
PEOPLE ARE ASKING WHERE YOU'VE BEEN
THEY SAY HAVE COURAGE, AND I'M TRYING TO
I'MRIGHT HERE FOR YOU
JUST LET ME IN
WE ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER
IT'S JUST YOU AND ME
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

Anna slumped in the snow.

...DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN?

Tears fell from Elsa's eyes as the music finished, but at the final rift she sang something.

YES I DO...

She responded to Anna's question! The one Anna had asked her all of their lives!

Elsa opened the door, and embraced the frozen Anna. And Elsa herself, froze solid alongside her sister.

And then, after all that horror, there was beauty. A bright white light glowed from the frozen bodies. It expanded to where you couldn't see them anymore. When it vanished, Elsa and adult Anna stood there, alive and well.

An act of true love thaws a frozen heart. Elsa finally realized her love of her sister was stronger than her fear of the past. She showed her true love of her sister through the cold embrace, and freed them both.

"True love...that's all we've ever needed!" Elsa began thawing the eternal winter as the sisters travelled back to Arendell. Elsa was forgiven and was able to oust Hans and reclaim her throne. And, in typical Disney fashion, they all managed to live happily ever after.

I know that it may have been different from the original, but I kept the DVD. If anything, as scary as it was, the message was conveyed in a way more powerful than I ever expected. And if all else fails, I'm the only one who has it.
They said it couldn't be done, but I did it! I made a Frozen creepypasta! Thanks to that awful song. :iconscaredplz: Regardless, I think it cameout pretty good!
